How to make Keto Bulletproof Coffee with MCT oil

Updated: Sep 20, 2020

Keto bulletproof coffee is a staple in ketogenic diet which very often, is consumed as the first "meal" of the day either as breakfast or to break a fast.

Personally, I didn't start off right away with bulletproof coffee (BPC) when I took on this new way of eating. As a coffee lover, adding butter and coconut oil to coffee was just ridiculous! So, I remained happy with my nice daily routine cup of espresso from my DeLonghi. After 2-3 months into keto, I braved myself to make this must-talked-about BPC and... WOW, was it a wholenew level of taste for me!!! I loved it and have stuck with it since. In these 2 years, I have tried a few variations of BPC. Needless to say, my favourite is using my Yummy Keto Power Blend, of course!

However, I won't advocate consuming BPC in the first 2 weeks of the ketogenic diet as our body has not yet recognise ketone as fuel. By the 3rd or 4th week, BPC can be introduced to your diet if you are active, or begin to feel weak or hungry during the day. BPC can fill you up and help you to avoid craving for food. So, it is definitely a must for newbies to learn how to make a good cup of keto bulletproof coffee.

In this video, I used 1 tablespoon of BonCafe Mocha ground coffee to make my black coffee using French Press from Ikea (not the best but serves the purpose). I then added 1 pat of butter (about 10g), 2 teaspoons of Yummy Keto Pure MCT Oil (If you're new to MCT oil, start with 1 teaspoon and tapper up gradually) and blended all of them blend with my mini blender.
